Our participating schools are the heart of what we do at Spark the Arts

This year, through the partnership with Spark the Arts program, St. Luigi’s students have the opportunity to enrich their academic experience through their participation in program.

In an equitable world, all students would be afforded the opportunity to be exposed, to participate, to benefit, and to be inspired by the arts,  as a leisure activity or a potential career opportunity.  With the rising costs of enrolling children in after school music, or dance programs, or attending performances, for example, is out of reach for many families.  Having arts professionals come to the school to perform, to teach or having students attend the symphony, it is a priceless experience for our students.

Partnering with Sparks the Arts has been an amazing experience for our students. They have been able to see, feel and hear aspects of the arts that they would not normally have experienced. They were inspired by the information and skill presented by the artists and have gained a new appreciation for the arts. Many students, after seeing the presentations and learning about different aspects of the Arts, have a new interest and may explore the Arts in the future.

We are very grateful to have the opportunity provided by Spark the Arts and we look forward to participating in more learning opportunities in the future.
